Port Blair, Feb 06: The Delegation of ShahidonkiAwaaz and Kesaria Hindu Vahini (KHV) met Mr. John Barla (M.P), Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs, GOI and raised the long pending grievances of the minority communities of Nicobar Group Islands especially Nancowrie, Katchal, Kamorta and North & Middle Andaman.
The Grievances which were raised were to ensure Regular Sailing of Cargo and Passenger Vessels to Katchal, Kamorta and Nancowrie Islands.
Upgradation of Ship Berthing facilities at Katchal Islands.
Setting up of Kiosks for Life Certificate & Income certificate to Felicitate easy reimbursement of Pension for Senior citizens of Nicobar Group of Islands.
Regular appointment of Specialized Doctors such as Gynecologist, Cardiologist, Orthopedics and Pediatricians at District R.P Hospital Mayabunder, North & Middle Andaman.
Regularization of revenue land encroached by Religious institutions in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Minister heard the grievances raised by the Delegation patiently and assured of all possible help and direction towards the above-mentioned issues.
