Port Blair, Jan 03: To promote the spirit of environmental conservation, the team of Yuva Bharat Samaj Seva Charitable Trust (YBSSCT) in collaboration with Hut Bay Panchayat conducted a door to door awareness-cum-cleanliness drive at Farm Tikery, Little Andaman on Sunday.
The drive comprised of door to door interaction with villagers for the use of dustbin and proper disposal of household waste. Further waste were collected from houses and cleaned the streets, collected waste handed over to Panchayat for disposal.
“We must realise as soon as possible and act smartly to keep it from worsening further, this has brought a optimistic opine as villagers feels someone is taking steps to preserve nature. But, the need is much to educate masses to protect and conserve our mother nature,” said Mr K. Lokanadham in a release.
