Port Blair, Jan 02: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands to review the condition of all rural roads in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and order for the immediate repair of these roads, wherever necessary, so that before next monsoon people of Andaman Nicobar Islands get some relief and their life become a little easy.
In a letter, the Member of Parliament has drawn the attention of the Lt. Governor towards the rural roads of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which are causing a great deal of inconvenience to the general public, especially the people living in rural areas.
He said that the rural roads in almost all the regions of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are presently in horrible shape, giving difficult time to the general public, especially old age people, patients, school going children etc.
The Member of Parliament mentioned that Lt. Governor’s intervention in this matter will transform the remote villages and will bring fast pace development for Islanders living in even remotest areas.
