Port Blair, Sept 11: Hope of dozens of youths sank today when they were informed that the wife of Mr. V Armugam, Andaman’s own Natwarlal has also fled from these Islands.
Andaman Sheekha on September 07,2012 issue had reported that person, who reportedly duped as many as 13 youths of these remote Islands and escaped to Mainland India with Rs. 12,90,000 cash.
“As his wife was in these Islands with her son, we had a hope that someday we will get our money back. But now we have been informed that she has also fled from these Islands,” Ms. Sudha (name changed) a poor girl from Katchal Island told Andaman Sheekha. Sudha was cheated by the said person, who had promised her a RCC house.
A group of youths, cheated by this ‘Natwarlal’ had already met the Superintendent of Police, South Andaman on 6th September 2012 and submitted a written complaint against the person, whom they identified as Mr. V Armugam, a resident of Lamba Pahad, Wimberlygunj, South Andaman.
