Port Blair, June 5: The Tagore Government College of Education here proposes to prepare a panel of Guest Lecturers in the disciplines of English, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Commerce, Hindi, Physical Science, Physical Education, Library Science, Fine Art and Performing Arts for the U.G.Ed. and B.Ed. classes during the academic year 2015-2016. The guest lecturers will be paid honorarium @ Rs. 1000/- per lecture subject to maximum of Rs. 25000/- per month or as per the instructions received from the competent authority as the case may be.
As per the eligibility and educational qualification for subjects English, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Physical Science, Commerce and Hindi, the candidates should posses good academic record with Master’s degree in subject with 50% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), M.Ed. degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), and any other stipulation prescribed by the UGC in the general norms including a pass in NET/SLET/SET prescribed in these regulations shall be mandatory. For Physical Education, the candidate should possess Master Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalence in a grade point scale with a consistently good academic record, record of having represented the University/College at the inter-university/inter-collegiate competitions or the State and / or national championships, pass the physical fitness test, qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/SET in Physical Education conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. Holders of Ph.D. degree as on the date of Notification of these Regulations, along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. degree through a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as laid down in the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 and so adopted by the University shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
For Library Science, candidates should posses Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 55% marks where grading system is practiced and a consistently good academic record with knowledge on computerization of library, qualifying in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or other accredited test like SLET/SET in Library Science conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. Holders of Ph.D. degree as on the date of Notification of these Regulations, along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. degree through a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as laid down in the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 and so adopted by the University shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
For Fine Arts, the candidates should posses Post Graduate degree in Fine Arts (MFA) with minimum 55% marks and for Performing Arts, the candidates should be Post Graduate degree in Music/Dance/Theatre Arts with minimum 55% marks.
Desirous candidates can submit their applications along with Curriculum Vitae (CV), Self attested copies of testimonials and a copy of photograph to the Principal, TGCE, Port Blair latest by June 19, 2015. Verification of original certificates etc. shall be done on June 22 from 10 am.
