Port Blair, Oct 08: The Secretary IP&T, Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh today informed that seven flights with 1139 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport and passengers have undergone RT-PCR test, the results of today’s RT-PCR tests are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that among passengers who arrived yesterday (Thursday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive.
The Secretary further informed that 341 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj in which 186 were fully vaccinated and remaining 155 persons were tested COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
He said that altogether 110 people were screened at Phoenix Bay jetty, in which 52 were fully vaccinated and remaining 58 persons were tested COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). He said at Mohanpura Bus stand 155 RATs were conducted in which all were found COVID-19 negative today and at Helipad total 06 persons were tested in which all found COVID-19 negative.
“Today a total of 357 doses of vaccine were provided to eligible beneficiaries among which 321 persons were of the 18-44 year age group,” he added.
Further the Deputy Director GB Pant Hospital, Dr. Amitabha De, informed that at GB Pant Hospital only two 02 COVID-19 patients are admitted, whereas no asymptomatic patient is at Covid Care Center, he added.
