Port Blair, Oct 05: The Secretary IP&T, Mr. Sunil Kumar Singh today informed that eight flights with 705 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport and all passengers have undergone RT-PCR test, the results of today’s RT-PCR tests are awaited.
While addressing the COVID-19 media briefing today at IP&T Conference hall he pointed out that among passengers who arrived yesterday (Monday), no passenger was found COVID-19 positive.
The Secretary further informed that 342 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj in which all persons were tested COVID-19 negative during Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and altogether 155 people were tested at Phoenix Bay jetty, passengers travelling were tested in which all were found Covid-19 negative in Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). He said at Mohanpura Bus stand 161 RATs were conducted in which all were found COVID-19 negative today and 02 crew members found positive yesterday in RTPCR test.
“Today a total of 453 doses of vaccine were provided to eligible beneficiaries among which 436 persons were of the 18-44 year age group,” he added.
Later Dr. A.K. Mandal , Director, ANIIMS informed that at GB Pant Hospital only two 02 COVID-19 patient is admitted, whereas no asymptomatic patient is at Covid Care Center, he added.
