Port Blair, Sep 28: An electrocution case was reported in PHC Manglutan on 26 September 2021, where a man got electrocuted while working with a Rod Cutting Machine.
It was learnt that a man namely Mr. C. Murugan, a resident of Bambooflat was working under a private contractor. On 26 September 2021, he went to work in an under construction building at Dhanikhari and while working with the Electric Rod Cutting Machine, he got electric shock and he fell on the ground.
On seeing Mr. Murgan struggling, nearby people helped him to get up but the victim reportedly complained about severe chest pain.
He was immediately rushed to PHC Manglutan, where doctor checked him and declared him brought dead. An unnatural death case has been registered in Police Station Humfrigunj in this regard, it is learnt.
