Port Blair, Sept 20: As if mobile connectivity nightmares given by BSNL were not enough for the residents of Shaheed Dweep, now Airtel network is giving difficult time to the residents of Island.
According to residents of Shaheed Dweep since last nearly 6 months the Airtel network was giving hiccups to the residents of Shaheed Dweep and in several occasions there were total blackout of Airtel Network.
Although in few instances, the Airtel Network was restored after complaints but presently since last 3-4 days there is no Airtel Network in Shaheed Dweep because of which the residents of Island are suffering heavily.
Already because of poor service of BSNL, residents of Shaheed Dweep had opted for Airtel Network but now the Airtel Network is also giving such pathetic service.
“We complained several times but Airtel officials are not bothered about Shaheed Dweep, it seems,” Complained Mr. Sukumar Das, Former Zilla Parishad Member of Shaheed Dweep.
Andaman Sheekha tried to contact Airtel Officials at Port Blair for a comment but they were unavailable to give a comment in this regard.
