Port Blair, Sep 13: Today Andaman Nicobar Anganwadi workers with the support of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh staged dharna in a peaceful manner at Port Blair and various other Islands like Rangat, Diglipur and Kadamtala etc.
It is learnt that under the banner of Anganwadi Karamchari Sangh (AKS), the Anganwadi workers gathered in a large number and demanded hike in honorarium and job in schools under new education policy.
At Port Blair, former MP, Mr. Bishnu pada Ray, State President BJP Mahila Morcha, Mrs. Sampa Banerjee, State Vice-President BJP, Mr. Sanjay Singh, and other leaders were present with the Anganwadi workers.
