Port Blair, Sept. 8: On the occasion of International Literacy Day 2021 “WITH YOU NGO” organised an awareness programe at Namunghar Kohri village on 08.09.21. In her speech, Miss V. K. Mariyam bibi President, NGO reminded people the importance of literacy as a matter of basic human right and the crux of self-confidence and also the necessity to advance the literacy agenda towards a more literate and sustainable society. During the program about 10 adults were trained to write and sign their name in both in English and in Hindi language. The local social workers appreciated the initiative of WITH YOU. Smti Zubaida , Rtd Headmistress and Smti Seema, Rtd teacher graced the occasion along with social workers of Namunaghar viz Shri Simson, Shri Shariff, Shri Sarfu and Shri Maryanus. WITH YOU team appealed to the Education Department to re-start the adult education program in all villages so that no one get deprived of this essential right.
