Port Blair, Sept 08: A tragic incident had taken two precious lives and loss of property after a tree crashed over their residence in Guptapara village on 11.08.2021and the said deceased family member had approached Mr. Vishal Jolly one week back and raised about the issue and said that they have not received any kind of relief and compensation towards the loss of lives and property from administration. Accordingly, Mr. Vishal Jolly rigorously took up the matter with District Administration and today Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman handed over the cheque of Ex-Gratia of Rs. 300000/- @ Rs. 150000/- each deceased member as immediate relief under NDRF Fund in presence of Mr. Vishal Jolly, Former State President, BJP- A & N Islands and Home Ministry Advisory Committee, GoI and Mr. L Moorty, Smt. Sheela Singh and Mr. Ram Das.
The Deputy Commissioner requested the forest department to clear their premises by removing the cut down trees and DC, SA informed the delegation that the work will be done soon by forest department.
Further, Mr. Vishal Jolly assured the family members that he will take up the matter for adequate relief and compensation from LG’s relief fund to the deceased family members for their survival. He also assured that he will strongly raise voice regarding rehabilitation of the family along with securing a steady source of income in the form of a Govt. job so that the family can bounce back from this calamity.
