Port Blair, Aug 31: Mr. R. K. Raj, the General Secretary of District Congress Committee highlighted about the miserable condition of the road from Prem Nagar Junction to FMC Road via Burning Ghat road.
In this regard Mr. Raj met the Secretary, Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) and demanded his immediate intervention.
“There are pits and ditches on the road everywhere. As a result, vehicles cannot move smoothly, due to this the people living in this area face lots of problems,” he said.
He further pointed out that the showers of the monsoon will put things in their worst condition and the residents are in deep distress on this account they repeatedly expressed their resentment.
The General Secretary, DCC demanded to repair the road without any further delay. On this the Secretary of PBMC reportedly assured him to do the needful at earliest.
