Port Blair, Aug 13: On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, an award function was organized today at Andaman Nicobar islands by the Lok Janshakti Party (Youth wing) under the leadership of Mr. Abhibhusan Ghosh, State President (YLJP) to recognize the efforts of sanitary workers at ANI.
Awards were distributed to all the sanitary workers who had worked selflessly since the start of Pandemic COVID19. These workers are those sections of society because of which the pandemic has been controlled throughout the islands.
Regular cleaning, waste pick-up and also disposal of the wastes were done on time in spite of many hardships faced during the lockdown.
“Such awards build in our confidence and helps us keep motivate to do more good for the society”, said an award receiver.
The YLJP has now started recognizing such people because of whom there wouldn’t have been proper cleaning, around 20 sanitary workers were felicitated with the awards for their efforts and work done during the pandemic, in this event.
