Port Blair, Aug 03: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP – A & N Islands in written communication requested Secretary (PBMC), A & N Administration for resumption of Mortuary Van Service from Port Blair to North & Middle Andaman on payment basis in terms of rate fixed by the council.
He further stated that, due to discontinuation of the above said service, general public of those areas are facing immense hardship and are forced to pay exorbitant rates to private van/truck for the transportation of dead bodies.
