Team of PS Baratang and JPP Middle Strait clear ATR braving heavy rain

Port Blair, July 22: On 20-07-2021 the staff of JPP Middle Strait escorted the special convoy (in night hours) upto Jirkatang from Middle Strait while their return at about 1850 hrs they got stuck due to fell down of tree in the ATR due to heavy rain and the road completely blocked near Potatang about 18 KM from JPP Middle Strait under the jurisdiction of Police Station Baratang and it is not possible for regulating the convoy vehicles on 21-07-2021 without removing the trees & bushes on the ATR.
Accordingly the stranded escort Police informed the matter over satellite phone to JPP Middle Strait. Immediately the staff of JPP Middle Strait and PS Baratang under the supervision of SHO PS Baratang immediately rushed to the spot with equipments.
During heavy rain & in the late night by their sincere and hard work finally they succeeded to remove the tree & bushes and cleared the road. Because of their sincere efforts the unaccompanied Police team succeeded to regulate the convoy vehicles on 21-07-2021 without any hindrance.
