Port Blair, July 06: As a part of 72nd Vanmahotsava celebration under Middle Andaman Forest Division, today on 6th July 2021 a tree plantation drive is undertaken with the collaboration of karyakarthas of Seva Hi Sanghathan and staffs/workers of Rangat Range at Parnashala & Yeratta this morning to create enthusiasm and awareness amongst the masses and to spread awareness on forest conservation and to save the environment.
One of the most celebrated of theme all is Van Mahotsav, a month- long celebration that is dedicated to Mother Earth in order to protect our life support system on the planet.
About 15 Nos. of fruit bearing planted provided with tree guard at surrounding of playground, Parnashala near Hanuman Temple and 20 Nos. of Mangroves species planted near Yeratta Jetty during the drive with a expectation that each & every citizen to plant a sapling during the entire Van Mahotsav and pass it in to the next generation.
