Port Blair, June 18: Hindu Rashtra Shakti, one of the leading NGOs of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, involved in distribution of free rations and arranging safe cremation of dead bodies (Covid-19), has now requested the Prime Minister of India, the Minister of Health and the Home Minister to make necessary arrangements to supply around 3,50,000 vaccines for Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In an email addressed to the Prime Minister of India, copy of which was sent to the Minister of Home, Home Minister, Lt. Governor of A & N Islands and Chief Secretary of A & N Administration, the president of HRS, Mr. Rakeshwar Lal, State President, HRS, A & N Islands said that these islands are located in such a remote distance where we are deprived of any advanced medical facilities and the only way to escape from the fury of the pandemic is to get vaccinated and prevent from being affected.
“The public of these Islands are very much aware of the good aspects of vaccination as against the case of mainland and they show utmost responsibility and desire to get vaccinate as soon as possible,” Mr. Lal added.
