Such unplanned work left nearly 14-18 vehicles stranded near the APWD Pump House area of Adazig, Baratang for nearly six long hours.
According to reports NHIDCL contractors were carrying out some road digging and earth filling works for a culvert near the APWD Pump House area and despite requests from ATR commuters to delay the works for some more time, the workers continued with the work.
As a result when land was filled again and vehicles were asked to cross, a cargo truck got stuck in the loose earth, which blocked the ART.
