None of the passenger at Airport or Ferrargunj was tested COVID-19 positive: Secretary IP&T

Port Blair, June 10: The Secretary IP&T Mr. SK Singh today informed that for the first time no passenger was tested positive from Ferrargunj (RAT test) and the Airport (RT-PCR).
While addressing a COVID-19 media briefing in the conference hall of IP&T, the Secretary further pointed out that two flights with 291 passengers arrived today at Port Blair Airport and all passengers have undergone RT-PCR test and results for today’s RT-PCR are awaited. He further informed that 75 persons (travelers) bound for N&M Andaman were tested at Ferrargunj out of which none of them was tested COVID-19 positive.
About vaccination drive in A & N Islands, today altogether 461 eligible beneficiaries got vaccinated.
The Director, ANIIMS, Dr. AK Mandal, informed to media persons that 04 new COVID patients were admitted today in G.B. Pant Hospital and 04 patients got discharged. With this, the number of corona positive patients in Hospital is 36. Out of the 36 patients, 25 are on Oxygen support and 01 patient is on ventilator.
Later the Deputy Director GB Pant Hospital, Dr. Amitabha De said that today there was 01 new admission and 01 discharge reported at COVID Care Centers and the number of patients in the COVID Care Centers is 10 and at Wimberlygunj COVID Care Center 02 are admitted till date, he added.
