Port Blair, Feb 22: To commemorate the 22nd International mother language day, a cultural get together was organised by Aditya Natya Academy (An eminent theatre group in Islands) in its premises on 21st February at 1800 Hrs. A couple of songs and poetry recital was presented by Srijeet Roy Choudhury and other academy members.
Mr. Chittanranjan Roy, Ex Incharge, Chouldari Govt. Middle School spoke at length on the significance of the observance of the Day. A musical feature titled “AMAR EKUSHE” compiled by Mr. Nandalal Debsharma was presented by Nandalal Debsharma, Anadiranjan Bhattacharjee, Smt. Kaveri Debsharma, Sushankar Sarkar and Shibu Sarkar. The programme was conucted by the General Secretary A.R. Bhattacharjee while Mr. A. Karmakar, president of ANA proposed the vote of thanks.
