Port Blair, Feb 22: Annual Training Camp for Eighty five Senior Division/Wing Naval NCC cadets commenced at GMS,Haddo(Telugu Medium), Port Blair on 22 Feb 21. Twenty Nine Naval Cadets of MGGC, Mayabunder joined Fifty six cadets of JNRM at Port Blair to attend the camp. 5/3 days camp for ‘C’ & ‘B’ certificate cadets respectively is jampacked with outdoor activities such as .22 firing, Boat Pulling, Sailing, Parade/drills, Disaster Management Training and Fire Fighting Training/Demo. Although, JNRM students are being permitted to go home after the day’s activities of the camp, MGGC, Mayabunder students will stay at Camp site.
Capt.V K Trivedi, Commanding Officer, 1 (AN) NU NCC, Camp Commandant addressed the cadets and motivated them to follow disciplined life and gain maximum professional experience during the Camp Stay. Disaster Management Training, Fire Fighting Training/Demo and Small Arms handling practice was carried out for the cadets today.
Associate NCC Officer, Care Takers, Permanent Instructor and staff of the unit were proactively controlling the cadets during first day of camp and ensuring full SOP of COVID 19 protocols. Cadets carried out all the activities in an enthusiastic and disciplined manner.
