Port Blair, August 21: Three youths hailing from Anarkali area were reportedly fishing close to snake Island area near Corbyn’s Cove yesterday at around 6 PM. Somehow they got drifted and were unable to return back after which they called police control room for help. Soon a Marine Police Force boat rescued and brought them to Dignabad at around 9PM.
A police team from PS Aberdeen reached the spot and interrogated the youths. While interrogation, it was disclosed that they were not legally licensed and were without permission for fishing operations, following which they were arrested and their boat was seized by PS Aberdeen. As it is a bailable offence, they were later granted bail from the Police Station.
