Port Blair, August 20: The newly appointed District Commissioner of the South Andaman, Mr. Sunil Anchipakka has assured that the DC call center is active 24X7 and he himself is monitoring the activities of the call center.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha, Mr. Anchipakka said that there won’t be any calls that will go unattended at 1070 (DC Call Center) and upon receiving the calls, the team will respond immediately to the needs by collaborating with the other departments concerned, to do the needful.
“I called the call center yesterday night at around 11:30 pm and the call was responded,” said the DC South Andaman District.
Mr. Anchipakka also told Andaman Sheekha that soon the district administration is going to promote materials of International Education Communication to the public in which it is mentioned for COVID-19 patients on how they can take care of themselves by maintaining hygiene.
Meanwhile talking to RNU, Port Blair, Mr. Anchipakka has said that vehicles are placed near all the Containment Areas to put them into work immediately during any kind of emergency.
“There is nothing to panic, have hot water, take steam as advised by the doctors, we are working 24/7 and we are here to support you,” informed the DC South Andaman.
