Port Blair, July 10: The Directorate of Shipping Services has scheduled the vessel MV Nancowry from Port Blair to Chennai on 17 July 2020 at 1000 Hrs. The vessel will arrive Chennai on 20/21 July 2020 and will sail back to Port Blair on 25 July 2020 at 1000 Hrs from Chennai. Passenger tickets for the above voyages will be issued from 11 July 2020 onwards from STARS ticketing Counters and CSC’s.
Due to the ongoing restrictions and requirements to comply with the norms of social distancing, the vessel will carry only 50% of its capacity. All passengers prior to embarkation, will be screened in accordance with the guidelines issued by the MHA and Ministry of Health and, only Asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to embark.
During the voyage, all passengers shall at all times wear face masks. All passengers will be required to carry their own safety kit including face masks, sanitizers etc. Further, all passengers shall at all times during the voyage comply to the promulgated norms of social distancing and the advise of the ship crew in this matter. All passengers should compulsorily download the Aarogya Setu app and keep the Bluetooth on always. In case of any difficulty in breathing, fever etc. seek medical attention of the vessel immediately.
