Port Blair, May 14: The Island Protection Forum has requested to publish and circulate list of passengers from different entry points i.e Chennai, Vizag & Kolkata to Port Blair each passengers can know about their status and date of sailing.
In a letter addressed to the Secretary Shipping, Mr. MT Mustafa, President, IPF said that it is proud for the islanders that Andaman & Nicobar Administration has decided to evacuate the stranded passengers from different part of the country, for which road map has also been find out.
“The list of passengers from Chennai to Port Blair has been finalized and bulk massages has also been sent to their respective Mobile Numbers. Many passengers have not received the confirmation messages from Administration whether their name is included in the list or not which creates unrest and confusion amongst the passengers. The situation arises due to poor network in remote areas,” the President IPF said.
