Port Blair, Jan 25: The Central Agricultural Research Institute (CARI) is organizing an International Conference on Recent Perspectives in Macromolecular Structure and Function for two days from 27th to 28th January, 2012 to share and advance our knowledge on the structural and functional dimensions of proteins and other macromolecules.
Around 75 National and 5 International participants from Germany, Singapore and Brazil will participate and deliberate on the recent advances in macromolecular structure under four different sessions namely Structure and Function relationship of Macromolecules, Structural Bioinformatics, Macromolecules Structure, Elucidation, Function, Molecular Modelling and Drug Designing. The Conference will be inaugurated on 27th January at 10.00 am at the conference Hall, CARI, Port Blair, by the chief guest Mr. Shakti Sinha, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration. Dr. P. Vijayachari, Regional Director, RMRC (ICMR), Port Blair will be the guest of honour and Dr. S. K. Ambast, Director, CARI and Chairman of the conference, will preside over the function.
Experts in this field from India, Germany, Singapore and Brazil will be attending the meeting. Around 12 lead lectures, 25 technical lectures and 12 posters will also be displayed during the conference.
