Port Blair, Apr 23: An initiative has been taken by the police families of Campbell Bay area to make Face masks for the general public of Campbell Bay. As Great Nicobar Island comes under green zone most of the bikers wear handkerchief, scarf or towels instead of proper masks, the DySp Mr.Jagdev Singh (DANIPS) while talking to Andaman Sheekha said all the families of police personnel decided to prepare face masks as per the specifications given by medical department. The masks were made in the premises of PS Campbell Bay by the family members of police personnel of Campbell Bay.
So far 300 masks were already prepared and more 700 masks will be prepared soon. The Campbell Bay Police is not only enforcing Lockdown strictly but also distributing the face masks at various places and spreading awareness among people about importance of wearing face masks.
