Un-verified messages are flooding through Social media is having a negative impact and people are confused at this point of time. Many
don’t know whom to contact.
As even the government mouthpiece can’t reach all over Andaman Nicobar Islands, the All India Radio plays a pivotal role in disseminating correct information at right time.
The Live phone in programme acted as a bridge between Administration and remote islanders. Unfortunately this umbilical cord was disconnected by All India Radio and Administration, recently.
This has given space to rumors. Administration and All India Radio should come together and chalk-out a strategy to bridge the gap between the administration and local populace. Else the situation is going to be worse in the coming days.
