Port Blair, Apr 03: In view of recent country wide lockdown, many islanders left stranded at Chennai and Kolkata. In view of lockdown Andaman guest house was closed at Chennai as well as Kolkata which left no option for stranded islanders, who were forced to choose costly hotels for accommodation.
“I would like to convey my thanks to the LG for his prompt action in opening of Andaman Guest house in Chennai & Kolkata for stranded students and Patients,” said Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, A & N Islands.
Mr. Bairagi further requested the LG that the accommodation and food may be provided free for all students and patients in the respective guest houses in priority basis as they are facing financial constrains.
