Port Blair, Mar 27: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has sanctioned Rs.1,00,00,000/- under MPLAD fund towards purchase of essential items to combat COVID-19 in A&N Islands. This fund can be utilized for the purchase of essential items viz. infrared thermometer, thermal imaging scanner, setting up of isolation/quarantine ward with desired facilities, purchase of mask, sanitizer, gloves and personal protection equipments besides any other facilities recommended by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India and Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration, mentioned the MP in his letter addressed to the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman in this regard, a copy of which has been released to the press.
