Port Blair, March 19: Hundreds of people today gathered in front of all the petrol pumps in the city to fill tank of their vehicles today after news of closure of all Petrol Pumps from tomorrow, leaked in afternoon.
Some even had the feeling that Indian Oil Corporation is going short of Petrol/ Diesel and thus, they jumped into the petrol pump to fill the tank of their vehicles.
Many came with gallons to have a proper stock of petrol while there were many who did not get fuel till late evening.
Islanders have also started buying ration articles in huge amount to keep a stock of essential commodities for coming days. Many shops across city were crowded with pubic, most of whom were buying huge amount of essential commodities.
