Port Blair, Mar 19: As a preventive measure against the spread of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), all Anganwadi Centres under A&N Administration are closed with effect from 16th March, 2020 till further orders.
However, to ensure the uninterrupted Supplementary Nutrition Feeding, the Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi helpers will undertake door to door delivery of raw grocery items as per the approved menu of supplementary nutrition programme in respect of children, pregnant women and lactating mothers enrolled at Anganwadi Centres. The Distribution would be done as per the norms of the daily scale allowed per beneficiary for the period 16th to 31st March, 2020. To maintain the social distancing, the SNP items will be distributed in one go.
