Port Blair, March 12: A 28 year old youth namely, Mr. D.Arumugan, resident of Lall Mitti Chouldari, a private worker by profession suffered major burn injuries due to electrocution this morning at around 09:00 AM near Old Jetty Road, Joda Killan area.
As per reports, the 28 year old youth was on tipper Truck and while movement of the truck from a private resort area to main road, an electric wire came in between. It is learnt that while removing the live wire the youth got electrocuted.
Immediately he was rushed to Garacharma Hospital later he was shifted to the GB Pant Hospital, where he is still undergoing treatment. As per information he was stable. Further details are awaited.
