Rangat, Mar 06: Several accidents have been reported in the Rangat region between DFO Bungalow to Rangat Check post today following diesel spill on the road stretch.
As per reports, this morning a tanker that crossed the region had a leakage in tank, which caused the diesel spill. It is learned that looking at the increase in number of accidents, the Rangat Police Unit immediately called the APWD unit of the area and asked for help.
To the utter dismay of the Police Unit, the APWD unit of the area refused to come for help, saying that ATR doesn’t come under their responsibility. When the Police Unit of the area called for help to NHIDCL none of the officials of NHIDCL received their calls knowingly, claimed a police officer on the condition of anonymity.
However, showing commendable sense of responsibility, the Police Unit of the area covered the entire road stretch with earth with the help of some villagers. Even the lady police personnel were deputed for the work, it is learned. The Police unit is yet to find the truck, with leakage in tank.
