Port Blair, Mar 04: On 03.03.2020 at about 1530 hrs, an Indonesian fishing trawler with 28 suspected Indonesian have been apprehended by the officials of Indian Coast Guard Ship Durgabai Deshmukh from Southern side of Great Nicobar Island, close to Indira Point.
Today CGS Durgabai Deshmukh sailed for Port Blair with the apprehended fishing boat alongwith 28 Indonesians and is expected that the ship will arrive at Port Blair on 07/03/2020.
Similarly, in yet another case, 14 suspected Myanmarese National were apprehended by Indian Coast Guard Ship Viswasth yesterday, alongwith a engine fitted fishing dinghy off East Island, close to Diglipur by the officials of Coast Guard Ship Viswasth. The Coast Guard Ship with apprehended poachers are expected to reach at Port Blair by tomorrow morning.
