Confident, Smart and Beautiful, perhaps these are the appropriate words to describe Varsha Kumari, the winner of Miss Andaman 2020 title of Master, Mr., Miss. & Mrs. Andaman Beauty Contest Season II 2020 organised recently in Andaman.
Varsha Kumari completed her Class XII in 2015 following which she did a diploma in computer application and presently she is planning to join JNU, New Delhi for further studies.
However, she is focused to build her career in the field of fashion, modeling and acting.
Varsha Kumari lost her father recently and presently she lives with her mother Ms Susan and younger brother Vishal, who is extremely good in studies.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha Varsha said that beauty contest is her passion and she wish to continue in the field of fashion, modeling and acting to build her career.
During the beauty contest in which Varsha was declared Miss Andaman 2020, the title of Mr. Andaman was won by Ajay Kumar Chakraborty, a youth of these Islands. Ajay Kumar Chakroborty, son of Ashok Kumar Chakraborty and Maya Rani Chakraborty did his schooling from RBV and then did his hotel management from Poly and also from New Delhi and Kolkata. In future he wishes to start his own business but also try his luck in fashion industry. Talking to Andaman Sheekha Ajay said that during the entire contest they were groomed well and they were told about future scopes in this field which has motivated him.
THE REACTION
Both the winners Mr. and Miss. Andaman are overwhelmed with the reaction of public, friends and relatives after the results of the beauty contest was declared. “My friends and relatives are very happy and my family members are extreme proud,” said Varsha.
FUTURE IN ANDAMAN
Like it or not the trend of beauty contest is picking up in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and such events are extreme popular. Considering the huge fan following and attention of youths many experts believe that the winners of such beauty contests must be made brand ambassador of various flagship programmes in Andaman to motivate and attract more and more youths towards social welfare and nation building works.
In Mainland India often it is seen that youth icons are made Brand Ambassador of some good causes like, tree plantation, de-addiction campaign etc.
In Andaman the local Administration must also plan some positive events and involve winners of Mr. and Miss Andaman contest in causes, which are connected to social welfare and nation building.
