Port Blair, Feb 26: The Annual General Body meeting of the Diglipur Branch of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at Diglipur on 23.02.2020. Inaugurating the meeting Shri Sunil Bepari, Assistant Director (Retired),A & N Administration called upon Govt. employees to strengthen their unity for effectively taking up their genuine demands with the authorities. He also criticised the lethargic attitude shown by some local officers towards the demands of employees and workers. Shri S.Arumugam, Secretary presented the working report of the Branch while Shri Dasrath Mistry,the outgoing Treasurer presented the audited accounts. The meeting adopted various resolutions pertaining to govt. servants and general public of the area which includes (i) Construction of a modern bus stand at Diglipur (ii) Strengthening of medical facilities at CHC Diglipur as poor patients are forced to go to Port Blair even for X-Ray and Ultrasound (iii) Regular supply of LPG Cylinders. The meeting elected Shri Bibuthi Barik,Shri S.Arumugam and Shri Oscar Baxla as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively for the year 2020-21.
