Port Blair, Feb 24: Following a policy of zero tolerance towards commercial establishment defaulting on payment of water charges, the PBMC by taking stringent action against defaulters has disconnected water tap connections of as many as ten commercial establishments /hoteliers. These include M/s V. Knot Residency, Garacharma, M/s D- Lamour, Brichgunj, M/s TCI Godown, Delanipur, Dizzy Height, Dairy Farm, Port Blair, M/s. Group Engineering Corporation, Dollygunj, M/s Pearl Harbour, Attampahad, M/s My Island Residency, Bathubasthi, M/s Shree Karpagam Hotel, Bathubasthi, M/s Hotel Island Pride, Dollygunj and M/s Subramani Vivek Hotel, Garacharma
PBMC has meanwhile requested all owners of domestic/ Commercial properties and Govt. Departments to clear their outstanding Municipal dues immediately viz. (Property tax, water charges etc) failing which action will be initiated against defaulters by disconnecting water connection and suspending Bar/Food & Other licenses.
