Port Blair, Feb 23: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament has requested the Chief Secretary, AN Administration to consider construction of a shed over performing stage of ITF ground.
MP has said that at Port Blair, ITF ground is the only place where State level programmes and other cultural programmes are being organized on a very large scale which are being witnessed by the thousands of visitors. In the ground there remains a big open stage which is being used by the dignitaries and performing artists . But during rainy season and or sudden shower of rain, the whole ongoing programmes gets disturbed.
Mentioning of the last year’s event of ITF, 2019 organized by the AN Administration, MP informed that sudden shower of rain has spoil the
concluding programme when performing artistes were presenting their performance being drenched. And thus MP has requested for construction of a shed over the stage so that programmes can run smoothly without any disturbances.
