Port Blair, Feb.23: On 21/02/2020 at 2115 hrs. Shri Sunny James, 2nd Headman, Arong Village, Car Nicobar came to PS Car Nicobar and lodged a missing report of four villagers of Arong Village, Car Nicobar namely (1). Samuel S/o Shri John Kennedy (38) yrs Pvt. Worker R/o Arong Village , C/N Height – 5’ 9” Hair – Black curly, Colour – Wheatish, Body – Stout, Wearing Apparels – Blue Colour T-shirt & Black Colour Pant , (2). Abel S/o Shri John Kennedy (30) yrs, Pvt Worker, R/o Arong Village, C/N Height – 5’ 9” Hair – Black curly, Colour – Wheatish, Body – Stout, Wearing Apparels- White T-shirt & Black Colour Half Pant (3). Arun S/o Shri John Chrisestom (28) yrs. Pvt. Worker R/o Arong Village, C/N Height – 5’ 9” Hair – Black, Colour – Fair, Body – Slim, Wearing Apparels – White Colour full sleeves Shirt & Black colour Half Pant and (4). Nicanor S/o Late Thomas (48) yrs. Pvt. Worker R/o Arong Village, C/N Height – 5’ 5” Hair – Black, Colour – Wheatish, Body – Stout, Wearing Apparels – Blue Colour full sleeves Shirt & Black colour Half Pant. The above said persons ventured into sea for fishing on 21/02/2020 at 0600 in a Thermocol based “hodi” and did not return till date. The search operation still continues.
A signal was also sent to Indian Coast Guards, IAF and Andaman & Nicobar Command on 21/02/2020. Subsequently PMF boat, Coast guard’s ship, EHL ship have begin Coastal patrolling while a Dornier by Indian Coast Guards and a helicopter by IAF have been deployed for aerial surveillance over the probable area. PS Car Nicobar and village task force of Arong, Kakana, Kimios etc. are also conducting Coastal patrolling around the Island.
In this regard, general public are requested to come forward and pass on any information pertaining to the missing persons over 03193-265202 & 100 or nearest Police Station.
