Port Blair, Feb 19: The Directorate of Health Services conducted two days Hindi Workshop for the AC Cadre employees of Health Department. The working staff of all establishments under the Health department of South Andaman District attended the workshop.
On 18th February 2020, the Assistant Director (Admn) Mr. M. Hamza inaugurated the Workshop for the first batch of 40 employees. Mr. Ajay Singh was the resource person for the workshop. In the inaugural speech the Asst. Director (Admn) appealed to adhere with the directions of Home Ministry in implementing the working culture in Hindi in larger public interest.
The first batch concluding programme was presided by Dr. Omkar Singh, Director of Health Services, in presence of Mr. M. Mohammed Ashraf, Senior Accounts Officer and Mr. M. Hamza, Assistant Director (Admn). The Director distributed Administrative Book of Karyalay Nipuntha and a dictionary of Prabhat Prakashan alongwith a pendrive in which all earmarked items to be dealt in hindi was provided as a soft copy which will be easier to carry out the quantum of work in Hindi.
The Director emphasised Hindi as a link language in these islands and more focusing on official works in Hindi will be the best mode of serving the general public and last person of the society. In his address he told all the required tools has been prepared by the Hindi Unit of this Directorate to implement the Hindi in all sector of works.
On 19th February 2020 the workshop was conducted for the second batch of 40 employees of Health Department. The workshop was inaugurated by the Senior Accounts Officer, Mr. M. Mohammed Ashraf and concluded by the Deputy Director (Family Welfare) Dr. Sunil Kumar after distributing all books and pen drive pre loaded with Official dealing matters in Hindi to all employees.
Mr. S. Biju Pillai, Junior Translation Officer expressed gratitude to the Director for according approval for the conduct of two day workshop and Nodal Officer (IT) and Senior Accounts Officer for the support extended for the smooth conduct of Hindi Workshop.
