Port Blair, Feb 19: The Chairperson, UTCPCR has raised the issue of frequent power cuts in schools, especially those, which are situated in the North and Middle Andaman region.
In a letter addressed to the Superintendent Engineer, Electricity Department, Mr. Taranga Kumar Dhali stated that the board exams for class 10th and 12th has already started this month in all over Andaman and Nicobar Islands and hence, during the exam period power supply is very much essential in the exam hall as well as during the exam period.
“The UTCPCR has received a lot of complaints from the North and Middle Andaman region that during the studying time frequent power cuts has been observed,” Mr Taranga stated.
Mr Taranga Dhali finally requested the SE Electricity to make proper arrangements to provide proper electric supply during the exam period especially at the venue of the exam, so that students do well in their exams.
