Port Blair, Feb 11: On 08/02/2020 Mr. Vichitra Veer, IPS, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District visited LOP Tillang Chaung, situated in the Nancowrie group of Islands, inspected the Police infrastructure and patiently heard the grievances of the staff posted in this remote island.
He also visited PS Carnicobar on 10/02/2020 and inspected various records maintained at this Police Station. He was accompanied by Mr. Rajeev Kumar IPS, SP Nicobar District, DySP Prashant Choudhary, SDPO Nicobar assisted by Incharge Police Station SI Adi Murthy.
It is also pertinent to mention here that PS Carnicobar has been recently awarded ISO 9001-2015 certification. He also held Sampark Sabha of the staff comprising of Police, Police Radio, Fire & IRBn and assured to take up the issues at higher levels. He appreciated the coordinated efforts of all Police staff and their family members in conducting various community programs and initiatives viz; sports, culture, awareness programmes related to POCSO, traffic rules and fines etc.
The visit of SP N & M Andaman, Mr. Vichitra Veer at the remote LOP Tillang Chaung and PS Car Nicobar uplifted the morale of Police personnel posted there.
