Port Blair, Feb.11: A joint operation along with local Police was conducted under the supervision of CISF Dy. Commandant Shri Jitendra Jatoliya at Haddo wharf on arrival of MV Nancowry from VIZAG on Jan. 30, 2020 during disembarkation of the passengers. The search operation was conducted by the CISF and local police through scan machine and also by physical checking. Two passengers, P. Yashwant S/O P. Sanyasi Rao R/O Prothrapur (Garacharma ) Port Blair and Rohit Lal S/O Sohan Lal and Sunita Devi, R/O Prothrapur (Garacharma) were detained due to some suspicious object, which was found inside their luggage and after thorough, checking it was found as narcotics (Ganja), approximately 700 gm. Later both the passengers along with narcotics (Ganja) were handed over to the Aberdeen Police team for further proceedings.
