Port Blair, Feb 09: A 16 year old girl of South Andaman region was missing from 6/2/2020 and the family of girl approached police on 7/2/2020 and the matter was reported at PS Humphreygunj.
After report, immediately a FIR was lodged and SI Shubham of PS Humphreygunj was entrusted the investigation.
After interrogating several persons finally on 8/2/2020, the accused was trapped by SI Shubham, ASI Amit, HC Vijay and the team.
The police team recovered the minor girl from Prothrapur area, where she was with the accused.
As per the statement of minor girl, POCSO sections were also added and the accused was arrested. After producing the accused to the court, he was remanded to Judicial Custody.
The tracking of girl was under leadership of Inspector Aditya Narayan, SHO PS Humphreygunj and under over all supervision of SDPO Ajay Rai.
