Port Blair, Jan 24: A meeting to condole the death of senior CPI (M) leader and former Chairman of Port Blair Municipal Board, Comrade HN Parial was held at Hotel ACC Auditorium, Port Blair on 22nd January, 2012. Leaders of various political parties addressed the meeting. Mr. Hamid Ali, General Secretary, A & N Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr. PR Ganeshan, President, RJD, A & N Committee, Mr. M. Sadasivan, Secretary, CPI (ML), A & N Committee and Mr. B. Chandrachoodan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Committee, Dr Gauranga Majhi, CPI (M) State Secretariat Member, Mr. SB Chatteijee, CPI (M) State Committee Member and D. Ayyappan, General Secretary, Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association addressed the meeting and recalled the contribution of Comrade HN Parial to the working class movement in the islands. They described Com HN Parial as a true communist and called upon others to emulate his life. A large number of people of Port Blair and South Andaman areas attended the meeting.
