Port Blair, Jan 20: The A & N State BJP President Mr. R Mohan, on receipt of a request of the Member of Parliament Mr. BP Ray, had informed him that the Party president and other leaders of BJP are always against the closer of ATR and Buffer Zone. Mohan had informed that very recently the Lt Governor, ANI in his speech had assured the people of the islands that the Administration is not going to close down the ATR and on the issue of Buffer zone, no inhabitant will be disturbed.
“The Home Minister, Mr. P Chidambaram is also arriving here tomorrow and hopefully, he will also clear the matter on the issue of closer of ATR etc and hence the party thinks it better to get the verdict of the Home Minister first and then, as suggested by the Member of Parliament, Mr BP Ray, matter relating to create a joint force against closer of ATR will surely be done and of course, in case of any negative attitude towards the running of ATR, Member of Parliament will get full support from the Party President and other leaders,” Mr Mohan said in a press statement today.
