Car Nicobar, Aug 29: A team of PS Car Nicobar during Coastal Patrolling near Arong village noticed a badly injured Sea Turtle, trapped in unused fishing net. On information the Assistant Commissioner and the SHO Car Nicobar also visited the place and took the turtle to Veterinary hospital, where the turtle was given treatment.
Although the Veterinary Doctor had advised to shift the turtle to Port Blair but Forest Department advised to leave the turtle in the sea after treatment at Car Nicobar. Following which the turtle was released into the sea by the Police Department safely.
