Port Blair, May 02: This is to inform our Members that Goods & Service Tax (GST) will be rolled out with effect from 1st July, 2017. GST is the comprehensive indirect tax on manufacture, sale and consumption of goods. With the implementation of GST, there will be uniformity of tax rate and structures. To acquaint with the procedures, the Haldia Commissionerate of Central Excise & Service Tax is going to conduct a seminar on GST on 8th May, 2017 from 1130 hrs. to 1700 hrs. at the Auditorium of Dr. BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Dollygunj. Senior Officers from the Central Excise & Service Tax will be interacting with the participants.
All Members of the Chamber, Traders, Hoteliers, Travel & Tour Operators, Boat Operators, Builders, Contractors, Commission Agents, Manufacturers, etc. are requested to kindly attend the seminar and avail the opportunity of interacting with the Commissioner and clear all doubt about GST.
